As you may have gathered by now, Bright Side Lover is an uplifting and positive place. It’s all about fostering insightful, engaging conversations between friends. It’s also about respecting individual contributions and valuing the diversity of the group.
The fantastic thing about blogs — and the thing that sets them apart from less interactive forms of media such as print magazines — is that the ‘comments’ section can often provide some of the most interesting, intriguing reading material. Great comments are like special little add-ons to each article, taking it to another level and allowing everyone to have their moment in the spotlight. I have learned a great deal from the pearls of wisdom found in the comment sections of my favourite blogs, and I’m sure everyone here wants to take away the same value from their Bright Side Lover experience!
So, with all that in mind, before you hit the ’submit comment’ button, I ask that you kindly take a moment to consider the below questions (answer truthfully!):
- Would I say this comment to someone face-to-face?
- Will posting this comment make me feel good about myself? (Consult your moral/ internal compass here… you’ll know in your heart if what you are about to submit is positive or negative!)
- Likewise, have I written something that truly reflects the person I am?
- Will I be left feeling that I have added something of benefit to the conversation?
Of course, constructive advice, ideas or suggestions that you feel will benefit either me, or the Bright Side Lover community, are most certainly welcome. It’s the rude, obnoxious, or negative comments that are not. There’s just no need for them — and I’m sure the amazing people that read and contribute to this site regularly will back me up there!
Thanks a billion — long live dignity & appreciation!
